TECO-Boston participates in the 18th
Annual NHITA World Trade Forum & Governor's Conference on Trade,
October 13.
TECO-Boston's Ms. Ellen Chen, Senior Commercial
Officer, and Ms. Tiffany Liao represented Taiwan trade interests
at the 18th Annual NHITA World Trade Forum and Governors' Conference
on Trade on October 6, 2004 at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester,
NH. The annual event, organized by the New Hampshire International
Trade Association (NHITA) hosted 33 booths, 21 of which were represented
by foreign consulates and foreign trade groups. The conference was
attended by 300 members of the business community and provided international
trade information and opportunities for businesses in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Governor Craig Benson addressed
the luncheon audience and award ceremony that capped the afternoon's
events. Mr. Gordon Tuttle, NHITA Board President, introduced and
thanked the consular offices, including the Taipei Economic and
Cultural Office in Boston for their participation in the annual
event. Many companies approached TECO-Boston¡¦s booth and expressed
their interest in purchasing from and collaborating with business
in Taiwan. At the same time, the signing of a Free Trade Agreement
between U.S. and Taiwan was strongly encouraged.
