Taiwan delegation attends National
Democratic Convention
and International Leaders Forum in Boston, July 25-29
The National Democratic Institute invited
a delegation of 15 legislators and leaders from four major political
parties in Taiwan to attend the NDI¡¦s International Leaders Forum
and Democratic National Convention in Boston from July 25-29.
The National Democratic Institute, chaired
by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, is a non-profit
organization dedicated to strengthening and expanding democracy
globally. Members of the delegation participated in various forums
designed to strengthen leadership skills for democracy and to advance
democratic values.
Ms. Shyh-fang Liu, member of the Central Executive Committee of
the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and former secretary-general
to the premier, led the delegation which represents the DPP, Kuomintang
(Nationalist Party), People First Party, and Taiwan Solidarity Union.
