State of Vermont House of Representatives passes Resolution supporting the establishment of a Taiwan-United States free trade agreement, January 7, 2005

The Vermont House of Representatives passed House Resolution 6 on January 7, 2005 in support of establishing a free trade agreement between Taiwan and the United States. The Resolution, offered by the Honorable Duncan Kilmartin, was passed by the House and signed by the Honorable Speaker Gaye R. Symington.

The Resolution notes that whereas Taiwan and the Untied States share one of the most important economic and strategic international relationships that exist today a free trade agreement will encourage bilateral trade and investment. Furthermore, it will build upon the ¡§strong relationship between Taiwan and the United States.¡¨
