Vermont State Government invites Director-General Kuo-tung Yang to attend Governor James Douglas Inauguration, January 6, 2004 Vermont State Government invited Director-General Kuo-tung Yang of TECO-Boston to attend the inauguration of Vermont Governor James Douglas on January 6, 2004. Mr. Yang, and his wife Helen, attended the inauguration and represented the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the people of Taiwan in congratulating Governor Douglas on his reelection. Mr. Yang and Governor Douglas expressed a mutual desire to work
together to further enhance Taiwan-Vermont relations, including
trade, education and cultural exchange. Mr. Yang also met with Senate
and House leadership in his first visit to the Vermont State Government
since beginning his post in Boston.
