Cultural Division

The Cultural Division promotes Taiwan's culture and education by working with local universities, colleges, high schools, and other educational institutions. The division provides information and guidance for Taiwanese students studying in the New England states as well as assists American students and scholars interested in studying or conducting research in Taiwan. The main functions of the Cultural Division are to promote academic research exchanges between scholars and overseas students, host the monthly “New England Student and Scholar Academic Forum” and career seminars, facilitate academic research and cultural exchanges for American scholars and specialists traveling to Taiwan, coordinate and provide assistance to Taiwanese cultural and educational administrators and sports teams, promote Ministry of Education exchange programs, aid in areas of international educational and cultural exchange, and to collect information on academic research and education in the New England states. Further, the Cultural Division also encourages second generation Taiwanese-Americans to visit Taiwan to study or teach English.
